Workstation at Home

Home

Above photo is of my current set up at home. 3 months into having my iPad and I’ve got to say I love it. Even did this post on my iPad while being as lazy as possible laying in bed.

Soundtrack 2 My Life – 11×17 Type Poster

This is something I’ve been meaning to do for some time. Toying with various ideas I made a few terrible ones but this is one I’m excited to see in its final form. I’m having these printed on a thick 100lb paper with a slight gloss finish to really make the colors pop.

Originally my idea was to do a type piece with the entire phrase: “Ignorance is bliss, ignorance is love, and i need that shit. This is the Soundtrack 2 My life“. But I found that to overwhelming for a small space like 11″ x 17″ especially if I wanted to make the font as bold as I ended up choosing.

Anyways this is the final piece, I’m having about 20 printed and if you’d like one (for free) I’ll let you know how when there ready.

HeadBangaMuzik Promo Design + Creative Process

Right now I’m working on a few things for Dot & HeadBangaMuzik, this being one of them. They recently got a much needed makeover for their logo thanks to some nice work by Glen Infante so with that I set out to make some promotional images. Above is the final version for the first piece which I originally designed for HD use on TV’s (1920×10180) but it will also be available as a wallpaper pack down the road.

Luckily ForeverSave inadvertently made this progress timeline as I worked on it from start to finish which you can see below if your really curious to see what my thought process is on something like this. Conintue Reading…

Why Designers Need ForeverSave

Time Machine is a great tool for every Mac user to have installed and running but it doesn’t even come close to matching what ForeverSave has to offer for designers and professionals in various multimedia fields.

I only recently discovered ForeverSave but thanks to a free 30 Day trial that didn’t limit its features in anyway it was very obvious how useful this would be for me. Conintue Reading…

Photos – Seattle AEA Trip

I was in Seattle this past week for the 2010 An Event Apart conference which was a much need creative time to get my lack of inspiration up and new ideas flowing. Of course I’m a sucker for skylines so going up to the Space Needle was a must for me. Here’s a handful of photos (mainly from the needle) from my trip to Seattle. Conintue Reading…

Video – Pixels Invasion by Patrick Jean

This is awesome on so many levels. Patrick Jean incorporates some classic games like Frogger, Pacman and Tetris into the real world as pixels take over New York.

Artwork: Journey to Markyland, USA: Road Stop 1

I’m fairly selective about what I work on and who I work with simply because working full time leaves me little time for side projects. Regardless, when Marky and his team got in touch about working with him for this EP and his forthcoming website it was a no brainer for me. Marky’s working on some great music so when this EP releases next week make sure to give it a listen. Conintue Reading…

Billboard: PoCoMotion – Active is Easy

In an effort to help promote the new site and its resources I designed this billboard, which is now up on Lougheed Highway.

Web Development: KidCudi.tv

KidCudi.tv (www.datnewcudi.com/tv) is an addition to DatNewCudi.com in an effort to provide an archive & gallery of all Kid Cudi videos available. Organized by various categories such as song titles and year of performance, it’s ease of use should provide fans with a one stop solution for any video they may be looking for. Based off the WooThemes theme “WooTube”.

So far the reception has been favourable with the video archive adding a daily increase of 15-20% in pageviews to DatNewCudi.com since it’s launch March 14.

Video & Photos – An Olympic Ending

Right after Canada won the Gold in Mens Hockey I jumped in my car and made my way downtown to join in on the celebrations. Above is a quick video recap as I walked the streets around Granville & Robson as huge crowds gathered in Vancouver’s core to celebrate. Keep reading for a selection of photos. Conintue Reading…
