Brooklyn based producer Dot Da Genius (Kid Cudi’s Day ‘n’ Nite) wanted to bring his production studio HeadBanga Muzik to the web to help promote their services and to provide an outlet to share & connect with fans. Designed for Wordpress, the site uses a blog format to present the latest information as well as provide easy access to all the social media sites HBM uses. Also included was a twitter feed in the header, audio player and a rotating feature section. You can view the site live at www.headbangamuzik.com or a jpeg screenshot below. Conintue Reading…

(Video) Langara College: Rethink scholarship

by DP on Jan.26, 2010, under Design

Great video by Vancouver ad agency Rethink for their annual design scholarship worth $18,000. Favorite quotes from the video have to be “Don’t fall in love with your first idea” and “Worry about ideas first, execution later”. Might have to add both of those to my rotating quotes at the top. Web Development – PortCoquitlam.ca Redesign

by DP on Oct.29, 2009, under Web Development

screen-shot-2009-10-29-at-120438-pm

A long process from start to finish for various reseasons but I finally completed the redesign of the city website for Port Coquitlam, BC in late September. Designed for their CMS “ActiveCM” in CSS/HTML. Focus for the homepage design was information and consistent updates so that citizens can easily find “whats new”.

Read the press release for full details (pdf): [link]

“Having already logged almost one million page views this year, the website is playing an everincreasing role in the City’s efforts to engage the community. The goal of the update was to make www.portcoquitlam.ca more dynamic, easier-to-use and appealing than most government websites, in order to reach even more people.”

You can view the live website at www.portcoquitlam.ca or view the full design mockup at DeviantArt.
